Deborah Raffin

Deborah Iona Raffin ( born March 13, 1953 in Los Angeles, California, † November 21, 2012 ibid ) was an American actress and producer.

Life

Deborah Raffin has been named one of three children of actress Trudy Marshall and her husband Phillip J. Raffin, a broker, was born in 1953. Her two siblings called Bill and Judy Raffin Holston. She attended Valley College in California.

Raffin began her acting career at the age of 20 years. In 1981 she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her role in Touched by Love. However, she was nominated for a Golden Raspberry for just this role. Since her acting career did not seem very successful at the beginning, she tried her luck as a producer (eg for Future Sport). Raffin was provided by Susan Dey for the role of Sandy in Grease. However, the producer Allan Carr met at a dinner in Helen Reddy's house, the Australian singer Olivia Newton -John and so this got the role.

Notoriety gained Raffin for her role in the television series A heavenly family in which they 1996-2005 Julie Camden (later Camden -Hastings ) embodied.

Raffin was married to the film producer Michael Viner since 1974. The marriage ended in divorce in 2005.

She died in November 2012 from leukemia.
