Debra Messing
Debra Lynn Messing ( born August 15, 1968 in Brooklyn, New York City ) is an American actress who has attained primarily for her role as Grace Adler in the sitcom Will & Grace international notoriety.
Life
Debra Messing grew up as the daughter of Brian and Sandra brass on in Brooklyn and Providence (Rhode Iceland ). She is Jewish, Russian and Polish descent.
Brass collected her first stage experience at the High School, where she participated in several musical productions. In 1986, she was elected to the Junior Miss Rhode Iceland and qualified for the Junior Miss USA competition. Her parents encouraged her to an acting career, but she demanded of her, previously to undergo training. Then visited brass Brandeis University to study theater in Waltham (Massachusetts ). After she completed in 1990 with summa cum laude, the University, she attended the Graduate Acting Program at New York University.
Her professional acting career began messing with the play Angels in America: Perestroika. After that, she played a small supporting role in the police series NYPD Blue. Her acting debut she succeeded in 1995, when she embodied the sky on the side of Keanu Reeves a smaller role in the film drama so close. Subsequently, the U.S. television station Fox became aware of brass and offered her a starring role in the sitcom Ned and Stacey, in which they next Thomas Haden Church plays a frustrated young woman who marries her uncongenial roommates from financial hardship. Poor ratings of sitcom led to the setting after the second season.
This was followed by guest appearances on series such as Seinfeld and starring in the set after only thirteen episodes mystery series Prey. In 1998 it made a breakthrough in the world series with her role of Grace Adler in the sitcom Will & Grace, for which she won an Emmy in 2003. Simultaneously with Will & Grace played brass in some Hollywood films, such as Hollywood Ending, The Mothman Prophecies, ... Along Came Polly and The Wedding Date. She also played the lead role in the miniseries The Starter Wife - The Starter Wife.
Brass was established in 2001 with a Screen Actors Guild Award and in 2003 won an Emmy Award. In 2000, she married actor and screenwriter Daniel Zelman, but the couple separated in 2011. Brass In June 2012, filed for divorce. The two have a son, who was born 2004.
In 2008, she starred in the comedy The Women on the side of Meg Ryan and Eva Mendes. From 2012 to 2013 she played the lead role of Julia Houston in the U.S. musical series Smash. 2014, it plays on Broadway in the play by John Patrick Shanley Outside Mullingar.
