Decay product

A decay product is the product ( result) of decay.

In physics - in particular nuclear physics - for example, it may be radioactive " decay " of an atomic nucleus, ie its spontaneous conversion into another core act. The decay products are then the resulting nucleus ( daughter nucleus ) and the emitted radiation in the process.

In biology are decay products, ie the result of cellular decay, as detritus (from the Latin for waste ).
