Declan Kennedy

Declan Kennedy ( born July 24, 1934 in Dublin), is a born in Ireland architect.

In addition to the main areas of interest, Sustainability, Ecological building, urban development (Urban Design), landscape design and permaculture under holistic point of view, Kennedy is also a mediator in the conflict management.

Profession

Kennedy studied from 1953 to 1961 architecture in Dublin and Darmstadt, with subsequent Assistant to the Professor of Architectural History at the Technical University of Darmstadt. From 1965 to 1967 he designed the renovation plan for the Old Town of Regensburg with Prof. Hebebrand with; after he graduated with a doctoral fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. He became a professor of urban planning at the Department of Housing and District Planning of the Department of Architecture at the Technical University of Berlin by the year 1985 1972; 1975 to 1978 he was second vice president of the TU Berlin.

From 1984 to 1989 he served as director of the Permaculture Institute of Europe (English: Permaculture Institute of Europe ) and from 1989 to 1994, the eco-team program coordinator for the Global Action Plan (GAP ) for the Earth. From its founding in 1995 until 1999 he was Head of the European Secretariat and Chairman of the Global Ecovillage Network of Europe.
