Declaratory Act

The Declaratory Act is a declaration by the British Parliament from 1766, which is connected to the repeal of the Stamp Act ( " Stamp Act ").

In October 1765 27 delegates met nine of the 13 colonies in New York to take action against them hated British laws. As part of the escalating conflict between the British colonies in America and Britain, the British Parliament raised that the Stamp Act, among other things, due to numerous boycotts against British goods in America, on and noted in October 1765 that it of course and basically had the right laws also adopting, for the American colonies, and in every respect ( "in all cases whatsoever "). This Declaratory Act, however, was observed in the sequence of the colonies little.
