DeeDee Trotter (actually De'Hashia Tonnek Trotter, born December 8, 1982 in Twentynine Palms ) is an American sprinter. It is two times Relay Olympic and two-time World Champion Season.

Career

Trotter currently lives in Knoxville, where she attended the University of Tennessee and in 2002 celebrated their first successes over 200 and 400 meters. She gained international recognition by winning the 400-meter relay at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis.

They celebrated their biggest success in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, where she won the gold medal together with Monique Henderson, Sanya Richards and Monique Hennagan in the 4 x 400 - meter relay, before the teams from Russia ( silver) and Jamaica (bronze). At the same event, she came in the 400 -meter run to fifth place. A month later, at the IAAF Championships in Monaco, she won over 400 meters square and three on 1 July 2005 in Saint- Denis, near Paris, the sixth place at the Meeting Gaz de France.

At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 it was about 400 meters Fifth, as with the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. With the 4 x 400 meters relay she could no longer go to the start at the World Championships in 2005, as this was disqualified in the semifinals as fastest subsequently by changing error. At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, she was again fifth and won gold in the relay.

In 2012 she ran at the Olympic Games in London in the finals of the 400-meter run to the bronze medal and won the gold medal in the 4 x 400 - meter relay in the cast Deedee Trotter, Allyson Felix, Francena McCorory and Sanya Richards -Ross.
