The Deep Horn Graben is a 2.6 km long Buxtehude. It flows in the outer north-east of Hamburg in the south-west districts Meiendorf and Berne.

Geography

A source is no longer recognizable today. The origin lies in the area of ​​Deep Horn Pond - formerly a marshy meadow - in the Hamburg district of Meiendorf. This pond is fed by small adjacent trenches (Deep Horngraben, Iceland trench ) and a Regenwassersiel. Outflow is by a road located under the Lehar and the war Kamp Regenwassersiel, which follows the old stream. After crossing the metro line 1 of the stream is north of the subway station Berne back to open water. It flows through the Bernese Gutspark and Gutsteiche and flows south of the road clamping pieces in the Bernese Au. This flows out through the Wandse Alster and the Elbe.

Description

The Deep Horngraben is a 5th order waters. His run is piped to 60% and therefore not visible. However, the nearly one kilometer long underflow is in near-natural state. The water flow changes sharply and is at times considerably.
