Deer Park is a city in Hamilton County of the state of Ohio, United States.

The population comprises some 5,736 inhabitants ( 2010 census ). Acting Mayor Dave Collins. The city's area covers only one square mile ( 2.2 km ²). The name has the site of the deer (English Deer ), which moved here in large numbers through the densely wooded area to drink in the many rivers.

History

Deer Park was first settled around 1788 by immigrants. The municipality maintains the nature reserve Chamberlin Park. In 1886, the establishment of a settlement at this point it was decided in today's Tavern at the Blue Ash Road by settlers. In 1892 they built the first church in the village. The status of a village received Deer Park in 1912, it had 327 inhabitants at that time. The village grew very slowly, only 24 years later, an administrative building was built and the town hall meetings did not take place in the tavern. After the baby boom began and Deer Park was declared a town in 1952, as the population had now risen above 7,000.

In the 50s and 60s, the spacious parks stand out in the midst of the city, where many children spend their leisure time. The railroad divided the town into two parts then, it was built precisely along the main road. The tree-lined streets and parks are now largely disappeared.

1969 established a tornado causes considerable damage to trees and plants, but people did not come here to harm.
