Defenestration

The terms Defenestration (from the Latin de, "by ... down " and fenestra, " window " ) or lintel denote the casting out of a person out of the window.

Defenestrationen came in the Middle Ages and the early modern period more than once. They represented a form of violence (often with prior formal "conviction" by the performers ) is God's judgment and common begangenem murder between lynching. Particularly well known are the Prague lintels, especially the second defenestration of Prague. This term, however, several events are understood in different centuries.

In the Old Testament of the Bible the hated queen of the northern kingdom of Israel, Jezebel, was overthrown at the instigation of Jehu from a window of her palace to his death.
