During the construction of the Bavarian Forest Railway Plattling about Deggendorf, Zwiesel to Bavarian Eisenstein from 1873 you could see the route of the Deggendorf Plattlinger railway not use because the new railway line initially Bavarian Forest northwest of the old track had to be built because of the steep inclines, and Deggendorf a higher station required. In addition, the Eastern Railway moved the station in Plattling a few hundred meters to the west. Therefore, the Deggendorf Plattlinger railway set with the opening of the forest path through the Bavarian State Railways, which had already taken over the Eastern Railway on 15 May 1875 on September 16, 1877 their traffic and was soon dismantled.
