Geography

Geographical location

Deilingen is located in the northern tip of the district of Tuttlingen in a high valley at the southwest corner of the Swabian Alb to the Great Heuberg. The district covers an altitude of 790-1009 meters.

Neighboring communities

The municipality is bordered to the west by the district of the city Schörzingen Schomberg, on the north by being, among troughs and Ratshausen and on the east by Oberheim, all in Zollernalbkreis; the adjacent communities in the south and Wehingen Gosheim belong to the district of Tuttlingen.

History

Deilingen was first mentioned in 786 in a donation document of the monastery of St. Gallen for the first time. The village and the hamlet Delkhofen 1253 mentioned belonged to the upper county of Hohenberg, came in 1381 leading to Austria and 1805 to Württemberg.
