Deinstedt

Deinstedt is a municipality in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme ) in Lower Saxony.

Geography

In addition to the main town Deinstedt also includes the hamlet of Malstedt and places any chairs, pipe, wages, Hastenbeck and Visoh to the community. Due to the northern part of the municipality and the Malstedt Bever flows.

History

Deinstedt was first mentioned in 1148, while Malstedt was first mentioned in 1132 in the registers of the Archbishopric of Bremen.

Origin of the name

Old names of Deinstedt are Deynstede in 1329 ( as the name obviously identical with Deinste at Stade ) to 900 villa Tunstede (allocation unclear), 1315 Deinstede 1383 Deynstede, 1433 Deyenste tho, tho Deynstede 1542, 1587 and 1684 Deinste Deinste. From the basic form of "Your -s- sted " is assumed. It is a highly inflectional male personal name " - sted ( e) '; People Name Dego, Dago. The name Deinstedt probably goes back to the person names Deinhart ( Degenhart ). In Low German, there is no original " Egg". This originated in place names only secondarily, mostly due to the failure of a consonant, either " g " or " D". Here offers " -g " and a person's name " Dego, Dago ".

Incorporations

On March 1, 1974, the municipality Malstedt was incorporated in the course of municipal reform.

Parish council

Since the local election in 2001 the council consists of five council members of the Deinstedter Wählergemeinschaft and four council members of the Malstedter voter community.

Coat of arms

On a blue background golden spiral hook fastening a neck ring and including a golden Mühlenrad are shown above. The former indicates a 1938 found in the municipality Bronze Age hoard. The mill wheel is a reference to the 1132 already testified for Malstedt mill of the monastery of St. George at Stade.

Traffic

Deinstedt is located on the 108 K, which flows about a kilometer outside of town in the B 71 which is tangent to the municipality here. About the B 71 the place with Bremervörde and Zeven is connected. Through the district Deinstedt today only in the freight rail line operated by the EVB Bremervörde -Rotenburg runs (Wümme ). Along the B71 (2007 ) Remnants of the former breakpoint Deinstedt can still be seen on the disused since 1969 passenger traffic today.
