Dejan Lazić

Dejan Lazic ( b. 1977 in Zagreb, Croatia) is a Croatian pianist and composer.

Career

Dejan Lazic was born into a musical family and grew up in Salzburg, where he studied at the Mozarteum. He reinterprets the classic piano repertoire and with international orchestras such as the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra occurred. Lazic played on tour in North and South America, Australia and Asia, where he among other recitals in New York ( Lincoln Center ), Buenos Aires (Teatro Colon ), Sydney Opera House, Tokyo ( Suntory Hall ) and in the Forbidden occurred City Concert Hall in Beijing. In summer 2008 he played during the Olympics in Beijing Great Hall of People in a televised gala concert. In summer 2011 he made his debut at the BBC Proms in London. In addition to his solo career Lazic is also a chamber musician. In the 2012 season he appears inter alia when Ostertöne Festival in Hamburg, the Vienna Konzerthaus, at the Schubertiade in Hohenems and the Art Festival on Sylt.

Recordings

He also takes on CDs and has been published numerous critics positively valued recordings, including 3 CDs titled " Liaisons ". His live recording of Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto with the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Kirill Petrenko was awarded the ECHO Klassik 2009. In 2010 he brought out a recording of the Violin Concerto of Brahms 's own arrangement for piano and orchestra. The world premiere of the work took place in Atlanta, United States, rather than with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Self with the piece are planned in Amsterdam, The Hague, Hamburg, Indianapolis ( USA) and Sapporo ( Japan).
