Deliberative opinion poll

Deliberative Polling or Deliberationsforum is a complex application of Deliberieren and belongs to the method of Civic Education.

A representative cross-section of the population is interviewed about a topic. Thereafter, the respondents will be invited to engage in a discourse on the subject two or three days. At the start of the event, participants will receive balanced information. After consulting with one another in small groups, then in order to be able to consult experts and then a politician. Finally, the participants will receive the same questionnaire. Preference shifts of 20 % are typical.
