Delta Aquarii

δ Aquarii (Delta Aquarii ) is an approximately 160 light years from Earth remote main-sequence star in the constellation Aquarius. He belongs to the spectral class A3 and has an apparent magnitude of 3.3 mag.

The freiäugig highly visible star belongs to the so-called bear power, a loose movement pile of about 150 distributed over half the sky stars, the brightest form the constellation of Ursa Major. Our sun lies on the edge of this group, but moves in a different direction.

The star bears the historical proper names Skat or Scheat. In its vicinity the radiant of each summer occurring meteors swarm of July or Delta Aquariiden is.
