Delta Capricorni

Algedi Deneb, Deneb al Giedi (Arabic ذنب الجدي, DMG ḏanab al - ǧadī, tail of the goat ') or Scheddi is the name of the star δ Capricorni (Delta Capricorni ). Scheddi is an eclipsing variable star Algol type, its apparent brightness like with a period of 1.0022768 days between 2.73 and 2.93 may fluctuate.

Scheddi is about 39 light-years away from Earth ( Hipparcos database) and has an absolute magnitude of 1.8 mag. Its spectral type is A6.
