Delta Goodrem
Delta Lea Goodrem ( born November 9, 1984 in Sydney ) is an Australian singer-songwriter, pianist and actress.
Career
Goodrem plays since the age of eight piano. In her childhood, she turned some commercials and had a guest role in the television series Police Rescue. At twelve, she took on a demo tape which she about her. Favorite football team, the Sydney Swans, sent Goodrem was hoping to be able to sing the Australian national anthem before a game the Swans.
The demo tape was passed on to the manager Glenn Wheatley, a sponsor of the Swans. Thanks Wheatley received Goodrem, at the age of 15 years, a record deal with Sony; a year later they released their first single, I Do not Care That already finished album Delta, however, never appeared.
Since 2002, Goodrem played in the Australian series neighbors ( Neighbours ) the role of Nina Tucker. Through this series also stars like Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbruglia and Jason Donovan were known.
On 11 November 2002 appeared Goodrem 's second single Born to Try, which became her first number-one hit. Born to Try is also the first single from her debut album Innocent Eyes, from which was followed by four more singles and also became number - one hits. Innocent Eyes spent over 30 weeks at number one Australian album charts and was awarded 14 times platinum.
In summer 2003 it was announced that Goodrem is suffering from Hodgkin's disease, a type of lymph node cancer. She had to undergo chemotherapy constantly. In the spring of 2004, the cancer was considered defeated. In November 2004, Goodrem began with the single Out of the Blue and the album Mistaken Identity comeback. Both, each single and album, again were the number one in the Australian charts.
In September 2007, Goodrem their new single In This Life was from their third album Delta which published on 20 October 2007 in Australia. Single and album made it to number one in the Australian charts. Their second single from their third album Believe Again made it to number two in the charts.
She has been the first season in 2012, jury member and coach in the Australian singing talent show The Voice, which will be broadcast on Nine Network.
Life
From 2004 to 2011 Goodrem was associated with the Irish singer Brian McFadden. From mid- 2011 to February 2012 she was in a committed couple relationship with Nick Jonas.
