DELTA (taxonomy)

The Description Language for Taxonomy, DELTA short, is a language or a data format that is used in the taxonomy for recording descriptions of living organisms. It is designed to enable a simple key generation by computer.

The format is wide, in addition to a few other formats as the default accepted and there are some programs for the standard tasks available. DELTA records sometimes be combined with Lucid id records.
