Life
Demet Akalin was born in 1972 in Gölcük in the northwest of Turkey. In 1990, she won the beauty contest "Miss Mayo " and worked in Turkey for six years as a professional model. During this time she also played leading roles in the films Sensiz olmaz and Tele Anahtar. In 1996, she released her first album titled " Sebebim ".
