Demetrio Lozano Jarque ( born September 26, 1975 in Alcalá de Henares / Spain ) is a Spanish handball player. He is 1.96 m tall and weighs 100 kg.

Lozano, who plays for the Spanish club BM Aragón and runs for the Spanish national team, can be used in the backcourt varied; but most of all he plays on the left rear area.

Demetrio Lozano began in his home town of Alcalá with the handball game. In 1995, he played for Ademar León its first league games in La Liga ASOBAL before he moved to the Spanish champions FC Barcelona - series Cifec 1998. With the Catalans won it 1998/1999 and 1999/2000, the Spanish Cup, the Champions League and the European Super Cup and 1999/2000 the Copa del Rey de Balonmano, the Copa ASOBAL and the Spanish Super Cup. 2001 brought the German club THW Kiel Lozano on the Baltic coast. Here he won the 2001/2002 German Championship, before returning to Spain in 2004 and signed with Portland San Antonio. With the Basques, he won 2004/2005 again, the Spanish Cup and in 2006 was in the Champions League final. 2007 returned Demetrio Lozano returned to FC Barcelona. In June 2010 he moved to league rivals BM Aragón.

Demetrio Lozano has been disputed 223 caps for the Spanish national team. He became world champion in 2005 with Spain. He also claimed at the Olympic Games 1996, 2000 and 2008 Olympic bronze medal, 1996, 1998 and 2006 at the European Championships silver and bronze in 2000.
