Demetrios Palaiologos

Demetrios Palaiologos Latin: Demetrius Palaeologus, gr: Δημήτριος Παλαιολόγος (* 1407, † 1470 as a monk in Adrian David Opel ) was Despot of Morea, 1428-1460, de jure and de facto 1436-1438 and 1451-1460, ruler of Lemnos 1423 -1440, ruler of Mesembria 1440 to 1451 and ruler of Thasos 1460-1466.

He was a younger son of Emperor Manuel II Palaiologos and his wife Helena Dragas Serbian. His brothers were the Byzantine Emperor John VIII Palaeologus and Constantine XI. Palaiologos, the Despot of Morea Thomas Palaiologos and Theodore II Palaiologos, Despot of Morea also.
