Demetrios Petrokokkinos

Dimitrios Petrokokkinos (Greek Δημήτριος Πετροκόκκινος, born April 17, 1878 in Ilford, Greater London, England, United Kingdom, † February 10, 1942 in Cape Town, South Africa) was a Greek tennis player and participated in the first Olympic Summer Games 1896 in Athens this.

Career

Petrokokkinos already retired on the first lap of the tennis singles Bewerbes against the Greeks Evangelos Rallis. In the doubles competition, however, he came with his doubles partner Dionysios Kasdaglis to the finals. There, however, they lost the Irishman John Pius Boland and the German Friedrich Adolph Traun and received the bronze medal for second place, which now evaluates the International Olympic Committee as a Silver Medal, awarded.
