Democratic Movement – United Georgia

Democratic Movement - Vereintes Georgia (Georgian დემოკრატიული მოძრაობა - ერთიანი საქართველო, demokratiuli modzraoba - ert'iani Sak'art'velo ) DBVG short, is a Georgian Party, which was founded in 2008 by the former Parliament Speaker Nino Burjanadze. Burjanadze is also the chairs of DBVG.

The DBVG was founded in 2008, after Nino Burjanadze from the damiligen President Mikheil Saakashvili, the United National Movement party, isolated. They called for partly violent protests against Saakashvili, of which other opposition parties such as the Liberal Democrats distanced. The party in 2011 was in the polls with only about one percent. At the presidential elections in Georgia in 2013 Burjanadze was nominated. She was among other homophobic statements, contrary to its image as a reformer populist campaign. Although it was at times acted as a disintegrating candidate, she reached only 10.18 percent of the votes in the election. It was the third-placed candidate among 23 candidates. Ahead of the election received Burjanadze and DBVG campaign contributions in the amount of 400,000 euros.
