Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan#Historical background

Komeley Jiyanewey Kurd ( in German: Kurdish community league or council for the Kurdish rebirth, abbreviation Komela ) was a former political party in Iran, which was active in the northwest of the country.

The party was founded in the then newly founded Republic of Kurdistan under the leadership of Qazi Muhammad. 1946 the party changed its name to the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran in order.
