Demodex

Demodex canis (250 to 300 microns long)

As Haarbalgmilben ( Demodex ) is called mites in the hair follicles ( follicles ) of mammals parasitize. In humans, they are usually regarded as (ecto - ) commensals. You can under certain conditions lead to skin disorders, which are called demodicosis. They have as developmental stages egg, larva, nymph Proto, Nymph, Adultus; occasionally missing the stage of protonymph.
