Demonstration (teaching)

Visual learning is any learning process, which is supported with the help of images in a broader sense. In a narrower sense, visual learning is learning by means of the comparison of optical sensations.

When visual learning both static images ( single-shot) as well as dynamic image sequences ( series of images, animations or videos ) are applied. In addition to the recognition of the subject and the object is the interpretation of the image data is crucial for the learning process.

With the help of simulations, for example neural networks, one tries to gain insights into the learning process and the importance of the sense organ eye to win ( the retina) and brain. The fundamental question "How the brain recognizes objects? " but has not yet been satisfactorily answered.

The visual learning is mostly an inductive learning process, be generalized in the new visual information using known examples.

Besides visual and auditory stimuli learning determinative, one speaks of the auditory- visual learning. Are more or less all sensory experiences involved, this is known as kinesthetic learning.
