Demy de Zeeuw ( born May 26, 1983 in Apeldoorn) is a Dutch football player.

Career

Clubs

His career began de Zeeuw in youth AGOVV Apeldoorn. His professional debut was at the Go Ahead Eagles Deventer in 2001. During his first season he came along with two further operations. In the following two years his use time increased more and more until he belonged to the permanent staff of the Eagles in the season 2004 /05. For the season 2005/ 06 he moved to AZ Alkmaar, where he soon fought his way to a permanent place. Under coach Louis van Gaal, the team was 2009 Dutch Champion. With good performances in the league, he caught the attention of the then Dutch national team coach Marco van Basten. For the season 2009/10 moved to Ajax Amsterdam de Zeeuw. Two years later he moved into the Russian Premjer League Spartak Moscow. There, however, he could not really prevail and often sat on the bench. Therefore, he was awarded on January 22, 2013 RSC Anderlecht. In Anderlecht, he was directly Champion and the lending was extended for one more season in the summer.

National

As the Netherlands U-21 national de Zeeuw was European champion in 2006.

His debut in the A- Team of the KNVB he gave on 28 March 2007 at the European Championship qualifying match against Slovenia; after 15 international appearances, he also belonged to the squad of the Oranje in the Euro 2008. In this tournament, he came in one game to use. When the Dutch meaningless final group game against Romania was de Zeeuw 90 minutes on the court. The game ended 2-0 for the Netherlands. In the National Team, he fought with Denny Landzaat, Orlando Engelaar and Nigel de Jong for a starting berth in the defensive midfield. At the World Cup in South Africa, he came in two games of the later vice- world champion to use. After the World Cup he was not previously used in the " Oranje ".
