Denis Carey (athlete)

Denis Carey ( born August 6 1872 in Kilfinane, County Limerick, † after 1912 ) was an Irish hammer thrower.

In 1893 he became a British champion. At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 he was starting for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, sixth.

His cousin John Flanagan was a three time Olympic champion in hammer throw.
