Denis Iceland (French Île Denis ) is to Bird Iceland is the second - northernmost island of the Republic of Seychelles. It is located 87 km from the main island of Mahé and 103 km from Victoria and is counted among the so-called " Northern coral islands ".

The 1.1 km ² coral island was discovered on August 11, 1773 by Denis de Trobriand. He named you after himself Isle Denis and took you to France in possession. Trobriand buried on the island a bottle in which was the instrument of possession. This was the last island of the main group of the Seychelles was officially French-owned.

So threatened bird species such as the Seychelles warbler (Acrocephalus sechellensis ) or Seychellenweber ( Foudia sechellarum ) to be relocated from other islands by Denis Iceland.
