Denis Istomin
Denis Istomin ( born September 7, 1986 in Orenburg ) is an Uzbek tennis player.

Career
Istomin started playing tennis five years. His mother is a tennis coach. Due to a car accident in 2001, he was sidelined for two years.
In 2008 he took part thanks to a wildcard at the Australian Open and was eliminated in the second round against Lleyton Hewitt of. In 2006, he retired ( also with a wildcard) in the first round against the eventual champions Roger Federer, the former world No. 1 ranking from.
In 2012 he took part in the Olympic Games, where he reached the round of sixteen in the individual competition. There he was again defeated Roger Federer in straight sets.
Denis Istomin plays since 2005 for the Uzbek Davis Cup team.
