Denis Kazionov

Denis Alexandrovich Kasionow (Russian Денис Александрович Казионов; born December 8, 1987 in Perm, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with Avangard Omsk in the HK Kontinental Hockey League since May 2013. His brother Dmitri is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Denis Kasionow began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Ischstal Izhevsk. From 2003 to 2005 he played for one year that for the second teams of HK and HK CSKA Moscow Dynamo Moscow in the third-class Perwaja league. Then the winger spent two years playing for the first team of HK MVD Tver in the Russian Super League and in the 2007/08 season for Metallurg Novokuznetsk and the HK Avangard Omsk. The 2008/09 season he joined Amur Khabarovsk in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established. This, however, he left after only six games and spent most of the season at the BK Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Extraliga. For the BK Mladá he scored three goals in 24 games and four assists.

For the 2009/10 season Kasionow returned to the KHL, where he ran aground as a regular player for Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg. In the following season, he played seven games in the KHL for his former club Metallurg Novokuznetsk and HC Traktor Chelyabinsk, but spent most of the season in the new second Russian league, the Wysschaja Hockey League, at his former junior team Ischstal Izhevsk. He was again obliged by Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg from the KHL, before joining Severstal Cherepovets in June 2012 For the season 2011 /12.

Since May 2013 when HK Avangard Omsk Kasionow is under contract.
