Denis Ten

Denis Jurjewitsch Ten (Russian Денис Юрьевич Тен; * June 13, 1993 in Alma- Ata ) is a Kazakhstani figure skater who starts in a single run.

Career

Denis Ten (now Almaty) was born in Alma- Ata, is the Korean minority in Kazakhstan. His great-great grandfather Min -Ho Keung was Korean general.

Due to a competition of its music school, where he was a chorister, he visited in 2002 for the first time South Korea. At the age of ten he moved to Moscow to train at Jelena Wodoresowa can.

On 5 October 2006 he debuted with only 13 years on the international scene in The Hague. Two years later he won his first victory in Belarus in the Junior Grand Prix. It was the first victory of Kazakhs in a competition of international Skating Union. In his first World Championship in 2009 he reached the youngest participant at first surprising the 8th Place. A year later, he finished 11th place at his first Olympic Games. At the following World Cup he was 13 and moved then with his mother to California to train with Frank Carroll can.
