Denis Thériault

Denis Thériault ( born August 24, 1959 in Sept- Îles ) is a Canadian actor, emcee, director and screenwriter. He holds a degree in psychology in Ottawa and worked as an actor, master of ceremonies and director in theater, before working as a screenwriter with great success and finally began to write novels. His books have been published in addition to the French-speaking Canadian original edition in China, Germany, France and the UK. Today Denis Thériault lives with his family in Montreal.

His debut L' iguanas (Eng. The Smile of the Iguana ) was awarded the Prix Anne- Hébert and Prix Quebec-France/Jean-Hamelin. His second novel Seventeen syllables eternity, a poetic love story that broke in readership as a positive response from critics. and was honored in 2006 with the Prix littéraire Canada Japon. In 2012 he published his third book, the novel La fille qui n'existait pas (there are German Do not ) concurrently in Canada and in German translation.

The author lived for three months in the autumn of 2010 during the Bavaria - Quebec exchange a scholarship from the state capital Munich in the villa Waldberta on Lake Starnberg.
