Denis Tolpeko

Denis Andreyevich Tolpeko (Russian Денис Андреевич Толпеко; born January 29, 1985 in Podolsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is since 2013 in Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Denis Tolpeko began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth of Vityaz Podolsk, for the first team, he made his debut in the second-rate Wysschaja league in the season 2002/ 03. He then moved into the Canadian top junior Western Hockey League in which he was active for the Seattle Thunderbirds and Regina Pats 2003-2006.

Then went to the Center on July 5, 2006 as a free agent contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, for their farm team in the American Hockey League, the Philadelphia Phantoms, he played in the 2006/07 season only. In the following season, the Russian made ​​his debut for the Flyers in the National Hockey League in which he in 26 games six points scorer, including a goal scored. The majority of the season he spent but again with their AHL farm team, so he returned to his native Russia in the summer of 2008. There he was obliged by HK Dynamo Moscow of the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League, with whom he won the Spengler Cup in the same year. For the season 2010/11 HK Dynamo Moscow was merged with the HK MVD Balaschicha and Tolpeko received a contract with its successor team OHK Dynamo, for in the KHL he stood until 2013 on the ice and twice won the Gagarin Cup. In May 2013 he was exchanged for Maxim Pestuschko of Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.
