Dennie–Morgan fold

Dennie -Morgan folds are folds of skin below the lower eyelid, which are clinically as a sign of an allergic predisposition ( atopy ).

In general, Dennie -Morgan folds are present on both sides and more pronounced in childhood. They can be folded double or single.

Dennie -Morgan folds quickly allow the first medical gaze in conjunction further symptoms the diagnosis of atopy. However, they are not a reliable diagnostic sign.

Dennie -Morgan folds come in atopy patients more frequently than in the general population, but have no Dennie -Morgan folds over half of atopy on.

The folds were described by Charles Clayton Dennie and 1948 by DB Morgan.
