Dennis Farina
Dennis Farina (* February 29, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, † July 22, 2013 in Scottsdale, Arizona ) was an American actor.
Life
Farina was born into a large family of Italian immigrants, his father was a doctor. He had three brothers and three sisters.
He worked in the years 1967 to 1985 as a police officer in Chicago. He starred in the movie Blood Moon (1986 ), a novel by Thomas Harris, the FBI expert Jack Crawford, the same role played in the remake Red Dragon (2002) Harvey Keitel. Farina starred in the movie Another Stakeout (1993 ) opposite Richard Dreyfuss and Emilio Estevez in the thriller Striking Distance (1993 ) opposite Bruce Willis and Sarah Jessica Parker as well as in the comedy Out of Sight (1998) with Jennifer Lopez. Dennis Farina starred in the television series Crime Story and Miami Vice. In the years 2004 to 2006 he was a member of the main cast of Law & Order in the role of Det Joe Fontana.
