Dennis Kipruto Kimetto

Dennis Kipruto Kimetto ( Dennis Kipruto Koech, born 22 April 1984) is a Kenyan long- distance runner who specializes in road races and lives in Kapngtuny.

In 2011 he won the half-marathon competition of the Nairobi Marathon.

In his first start abroad, he won the highly doped RAK Half Marathon. At the Berlin half marathon he triumphed over the reigning world half-marathon champion Wilson Kiprop. His winning time of 59:14 min would have been Juniorenweltbestzeit; however, turned out in the review of his passport out that this was not issued in the name Koech, under which he had been taken up, but in the name Dennis Kipruto Kimetto, and that marks the birth of there in 1984 and not specified by management 1994 was registered.

A month later Kimetto won at the 25 km from Berlin in a world record time of 1:11:18 h
