Dennis Sergeyev

Denis Valeryevich Sergeyev (Russian Денис Валерьевич Сергеев; born August 24, 1983 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is since 2012 again at Vityaz Chekhov in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Denis Sergeev began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HK Dynamo Moscow. From there, he joined the Canadian junior Western Hockey League in which he was active for the Calgary Hitmen and Swift Current Broncos from 2001 to 2003. Then the winger returned to Russia and played in the 2003/04 season for Olimpija Kirovo - Tschepezk in Wysschaja League, the second Russian league.

For the following season, he moved within the second division to Vityaz Chekhov, with which he ascended straight into the Super League. For this success he contributed five goals and two assists in 34 games with. With Vityaz the right shooter initially joined for three years in the Super League and from the season 2008/ 09 for three years in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League on. In October 2011, he was obliged by his KHL league rivals Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.
