Denys Poyatsyka

Denys Pojazyka (also Denys Poyatsika; Ukrainian Денис Пояцика born April 29, 1985 in Kremenchug ) is a Ukrainian amateur boxer.

Career

Pojazykas first international championships were the European Championships in 2006 in Plovdiv, where he then surprisingly become European champion in the heavyweight division ( -91 kg ). He won it four out of five battles ahead, including against the World Cup runner-up from 2005 Elvin Alisade from Azerbaijan and in the final battle against the favorites Roman Romanchuk. At the World Championships the following year, however, he dropped out in the second round against Alisade. The 2008 European Championships in Liverpool ended for him in the quarter- finals, so he missed qualifying for the Olympic Games final.

2009 and 2010 were not subject Pojazyka at the national championships Oleksandr Usyk. Nevertheless, he was nominated in 2010 for the European Championships in Moscow and won the bronze medal. 2011 increased Pojazyka on the Super Heavyweight ( 91 kg ), but could not prevail at national level. In 2012 he was re- Ukrainian heavyweight champion and at the European Championships 2013 in Minsk. he finished third behind Magomedrasul Majidov, Azerbaijan, and Sergei Kuzmin, Russia.

World Series of Boxing

In the season 2010/2011 Pojazyka started for Baku Fire in the World Series of Boxing. In the regular season, he won two of four fights. He lost inter alia, against Abdelhafid Benchabla, Algeria. Furthermore, it was used in the first semi-final Comparison fight against Paris United, but lost his fight as the sole representative of Baku.

In the season 2011/2012 Pojazyka of Baku was first used in the knockout round. When comparing the fight against the Mumbai Fighters he won his battle in which losing to Milano Thunder.

In the 2012/2013 season Pojazyka played three matches for the Ukrainian Otamans and won two. When comparing the fight against Thunder Italia he lost against Imre Szello.
