Denzil Douglas

Denzil Llewellyn Douglas ( born January 14, 1953) is the reigning Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Douglas studied and graduated from the University of the West Indies. He became chairman of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party in 1989; In the same year he was first elected to the National Assembly. In 1995 he won the parliamentary elections with his party. On July 7, 1995, he took office as Prime Minister. Until 2000, he also held the office of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the island nation. In August 2008, he took office again.
