Deon Terry Anderson ( born January 27, 1983 in Providence, Rhode Iceland ) is a former American professional American football player at the position of the full- backs. He plays for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League ( NFL).

Youth

Deon Anderson attended Avon High School. He played there American football, but also worked as a wrestler. As a wrestler, he was elected to the All American and won the championship of New England students.

Playing career

College career

Deon Anderson studied from 2002 to 2006 at the University of Connecticut, where he played for the Connecticut Huskies College Football. Anderson played 44 times for his team, scoring four touchdowns. Due to an injury he had to expose the complete 2005 season. The following year he was elected Most Valuable Player (MVP) of his team. In 2004, he was able to move with his team in the Motor City Bowl. His team was able to win against the University of Toledo with 39:10.

Professional career

In 2007, Anderson was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round to 195th place of the NFL Draft. Anderson was primarily used as a blocker for the running backs Marion Barber and Julius Jones. Due to an injury he was in his rookie year only deny eight games. Nevertheless succeeded his team in the play-offs move in, but where they failed early in the later Super Bowl winners, the New York Giants at 21:17. In 2008, Anderson missed two games of the regular season due to a knee injury. In the 2009 season, Anderson succeeded again with the team from Dallas to move into the play-offs.
