Deonise Cavaleiro

Deonise Fachinello Cavaleiro ( born June 20, 1983 in Santa Rosa ) is a Brazilian handball player who belonged to the squad of the Brazilian national team.

Career

In the club

Deonise Cavaleiro started playing handball at a school. There she initially guarded the gate, but was soon summoned by the local trainers in the backcourt. With 15 years Deonise Cavaleiro moved to Cascavel, where she played for three years at the Escola Alfa handball. Then they played a half years for the University Ulbra from Canoas. Here, she moved to Cavaleiro a serious shoulder injury, after which she was finished her career. However, she decided around and continued her career in Guarulhos continued. After 16 months at the club from Guarulhos she joined Metodista.

Half a year later Deonise Cavaleiro received an offer from Europe, prompting her Metodista granted the release. She continued her athletic career at the Spanish club Club León Balonmano with which they won the Copa ABF in the season 2006 /07. Then she signed a contract with the Premier League rivals SD Itxako. With Itxako Cavaleiro stood in the season 2007/ 08 in the EHF Cup final. She then joined the Austrian club Hypo Niederösterreich Austria. After she had but to adapt problems, she returned in January 2009 back to Itxako.

In the summer of 2009 Deonise Cavaleiro signed a contract with the French first division HAC handball from Le Havre. Two seasons later, the backcourt player joined again Itxaco, with whom she a year later won the Spanish championship. In summer 2012, she returned to hypo Lower Austria. With Hypo she won in the 2012/13 season both the Austrian Championship as well as the ÖHB Cup. In the EHF Champions League 2012/13 Hypo Niederösterreich Austria was eliminated in the first round, but qualified for the competition of the European Cup Winners' Cup. Here Hypo reached the finals and won the final match against French club Paris Issy hand.

In the National Team

Deonise Cavaleiro ran initially on the Brazilian junior national team and was subsequently included in the squad of the national team. With the Brazilian selection, she participated in the 15th Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro and at the 16th Pan American Games in Guadalajara, where they each won the gold medal. Furthermore, the Brazilian took to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Cavaleiro took with the Brazilian selection several times participated in the Men's Handball World Championship. At the 2013 World Championships in Serbia Deonise celebrated winning the World Cup title. They also won the Pan American Championship in 2007, 2011 and 2013.
