Depressor labii inferioris muscle
The depressor labii inferioris ( " depressors of the lower lip ") is a skin muscle of the head. The muscle originates on the mandible between musculus mentalis and depressor anguli oris. The muscle radiates into the lower lip, where Lock muscle fibers in the orbicularis oris of. The muscle is part of the facial muscles and pulls the lower lip down. It is innervated by the facial nerve.
