Der kleine Ritter Trenk

The little knight Trenk is a German animated series from the year 2011 with 26 episodes so far, based on the homonymous children's book by Kirsten Boie and was first broadcast in KiKA. The film was directed by Eckart Fingberg, Jens Maria Merz wrote the screenplay.

Action

The farmer Haug thousand shock has much to suffer like many other farmers in the country under the rule of their landlords, the knight Wertold, the tyrant. As he has in the dungeon unjustified once again, it no longer holds out his son Trenk and leaves the house at night. Together with his little pig, he decided to move to the city. Under the law "City air makes you free!" He would be a free man, should he succeed, one year to live in the city without being caught by Wertolds captors. By chance, he met the Knight of Durgelstein Dietz, whose son zinc to begin a knight training at Dietz's brother Hans Ritter. Because of this, however, it is too timid, he and Trenk switch roles, so that it is now working as a Page at Castle Hohenlob.

Differences from the book

Besides a few episodes, the action specially written for the series, some passages from the book were somewhat modified. So fifteen robbers Ritter Hans be set as a castle soldiers, while their number is shrinking in the series at three in the book. The two slow-witted assistant Ritter Wertold are not mentioned in the book and his squire does not matter.

The series began in KiKA on 7 April 2011 with the first season on. On 31 May 2012 launched the second season.

Production and publication

The series was produced by blue eyes Fiction, marvel and ZDF, directed by Eckart Fingberg. Jens Maria Merz wrote the script and the music was composed by Sebastian Horn and Leonard Schwarz. The film was shot on May 16, 2009 to December 31, 2010 in Hamburg, Munich and Singapore. The first broadcast of the first season took place between April 19, 2011 at KiKA of 7 April. This was followed by reps in the same station and in the ZDF program. The results released on DVD at Universum Film.
