The millions of heritage is a family series with Günter Pfitzmann in the lead role, which was broadcast for the first time in March 1990 in four episodes and the came in 1992 and 1993 were added eight more episodes over the years, similar to the Havel emperor.

John Redlich learns that he has inherited $ 2.5 million from his rich aunt Catherine in Miami. Then he is no longer tenable and goes out into the world, he first traveled to Berlin, where he decides to support an unsuccessful painter. John has no idea that disinherited in the meantime and their heritage bequeathed an Indian reservation instead by his aunt. He then attended with a luxury cruiser on a cruise to the Caribbean. There he meets Irene Rimbach know, she is the daughter of the rich jewelry dealer Ludwig Rimbach. The two grow closer and eventually marry. In recent episodes, the couple moved to Hamburg, there to take over the Rimbach the jewelry store. As from the jewelry store five precious diamonds disappear, Redlich, John sets out to find, to recover them.
