Dera Ghazi Khan ( Urdu: ڈیرہ غازی خان ) is a Pakistani town in the district of Dera Ghazi Khan in Punjab. Dera Ghazi Khan is one of the most densely populated places in the south of Punjab in the largest district of the province. The district has an area of about 5306 km ².

Infrastructure

Dera Ghazi Khan has many roads to other places in Pakistan and India. There is also an airport which is located about 20 kilometers from the city proper on Sakhi Sarwar Road and Dera Ghazi Kahan Airport ( DEA) is called. Weekly, the airport offers flights 6: 1 by Lahaur, 1 and 4 to Islamabad to Karachi. PIA is the only air line, which flies to this airport.

History

On April 3, 2011, there came in a mausoleum for a Sufi saint near Dera Ghazi Khan in a suicide attack with 41 dead. At fact, the Tehrik -i - Taliban Pakistan known.
