Derbin Island

Derbin Iceland is an uninhabited island of the Krenitzin Islands, which belong to the Aleutian Islands. This small island is located near the island Tigalda.

The term " Derbin " dates from 1935 and was selected by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey for the proximity to Derbin Street, which runs between Avatanak and Tigalda. The name Derbin turn is a derivative of " Derbenskoy " in 1840 chose the Russian priest and missionary Innokenty Weniaminow for this waterway.
