Derborence is realized by Francis Reusser French-Swiss feature film based on the novel by Charles Ferdinand Ramuz. Derborence arrived on 27 April 1985 in the western Swiss cinemas.

Action

After his marriage to Therese Antoine leaves his village and goes to the Alps to share with Seraphin to take care of his flock there during the summer. A few weeks after Antoine's arrival occurred a landslide that buried both Antoine and Seraphin as well as the hamlet Derborence. Therese must now, although pregnant reconcile with her ​​widowhood. This it is all the more difficult as the child she carries within him, like his father (Antoine ) will be an orphan.

Contrary to the expectations of the villagers Antoine has survived the landslide and can free itself from the rock debris. About two months after the natural disaster it appears the in his village.
