Derek Grant (ice hockey, born 1990)

Derek Grant ( April 20, 1990 in Abbotsford, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since March 2011 the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Grant was initially active from 2005 to 2006 for the Vancouver SE Flames from the unterklassigen Canadian Junior Hockey League BC Major Midget League. In the season 2006/ 07 he stood for the Abbotsford Pilots of the Pacific Junior Hockey League on the ice. Following this season, the striker ran from 2007 to 2009 for the Langley Chiefs of the British Columbia Hockey League on. His rookie season in the jersey of Langley Chiefs finished Grant with 63 points scorer in 57 games of the regular season, which he was Stefishen second highest points scorer of the team within the team by leading scorer Taylor. Subsequently, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 in the fourth round at 119th overall position of the Ottawa Senators.
