Derek Lam

Derek Lam ( born March 25, 1966 in San Francisco, California) is an American fashion designer.

Life

Derek Lam was born in the United States and lived in the 1990s, a few years in Hong Kong. His parents are both Chinese- stocky, her father came from the People's Republic and the mother from Hong Kong.

Profession

After graduating from Parson's School of Design in 1990, he worked as a designer for the American fashion label Michael Kors and for an Asian clothing brand. In 2002 he founded his own label named Derek Lam and presents its collections every season since then at the New York Fashion Week, the biggest fashion shows in the U.S.. Obtained only in the 2004 season Lam greater awareness. His clothes are worn by Sharon Stone, among others.
